Pagasa WEATHER FORECAST March 4, 2026

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released its weather forecast for Wednesday, March 4, 2026, highlighting the effects of the Northeast Monsoon and easterlies across the country.

 Weather Today

Weather Systems Overview

The Northeast Monsoon continues to affect Extreme Northern Luzon, while easterlies prevail over the rest of the Philippines. As of 2:00 AM today, PAGASA reported that no Low Pressure Areas (LPA) are being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.

Forecast Weather Conditions

In Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands, residents can expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies. Moderate to at times heavy rainfall may occur, raising the risk of flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas. Local disaster risk reduction offices are advised to stay alert for possible weather-related incidents.

Meanwhile, Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. PAGASA noted that no significant impacts are expected in these areas, although cooler temperatures and occasional gusty winds may still be felt.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also caused by the easterlies. While most areas will generally experience fair weather for much of the day, severe thunderstorms could trigger sudden downpours that may result in localized flash floods or landslides. The public is encouraged to monitor updates, especially during the afternoon and evening when thunderstorms are more likely to develop.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

For Extreme Northern Luzon, moderate to strong northeast winds will prevail, resulting in moderate to rough coastal waters with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 3.7 meters. Sea travel remains risky for small vessels, and fisherfolk are advised to take precautionary measures.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate northeast winds, with slight to moderate coastal waters measuring between 0.6 and 2.5 meters.

Across the Visayas and Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north. Coastal waters in these areas will remain slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.

PAGASA continues to closely monitor weather developments and advises the public to stay informed through official updates and advisories.
