Jobstreet Philippines: PUP graduates are the top choice of employers in hiring fresh graduates
Graduates who are products of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) will have a better chance in landing on a stable job.
It is because the graduates from the said state-run university are the top choices of the employers in hiring new graduates.
This is based on the latest report by Jobstreet Philippines, according to the article published in Inquirer.
The said report stated that “employers are highly considering the qualities of the fresh graduates, particularly their willingness to learn, personal grooming, and ability to work with others.”
It was also said that 24 percent of employers from the field of BPO industry, manufacturing, professional services, retail, and machinery and equipment are very much ready to accept job applicants from the K-12 programs.
On the other hand, those employers who are not yet ready to hire products of K-12 program composed the 25 percent.
The data from the “2018 Fresh Graduate Report,” showed that PUP was able to rise above other big tertiary education institutions in the country. A report from Radyo Inquirer 990 AM mentioned about this.
Next in the list are the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Far Eastern University.
Also included in the list of top 10 are De La Salle University, Technological Institute of the Philippines, University of San Carlos, and University of Cebu.
Aside from this recent prestige associated to the graduates of the said university, the article also said that Jobstreet found that the graduates from PUP are the top choice of various employers, based on the 2016 report.
