Filipina domestic helper Mary Jane Respicio Jamon was found dead inside the bathroom of her employer’s house in Hong Kong.
Mary Jane Respicio Jamon, a Filipina domestic helper who worked in Hong Kong was found dead inside the bathroom of her employer’s house.
On April 4, 2018, 4:15pm, the Hong Kong Police received a call stating that a 44-year-old OFW was discovered lifeless in a bathroom of a unit at Cloud View Road, North Point, HK. She was declared dead at the scene by the responding medics.
Based on the article published in RMN News, the case was classified as “dead body found”. In the initial investigation of Police Public Relations Bureau, there are no suspicious circumstances or foul play in the death of Jamon.
She was alone in the house when she was found dead because her employers went to vacation.
Alona Agustin, Jamon’s aunt, said that the father of her niece’s employer called the police after she could not be contacted on her cellphone and that there was no answer as they rang the doorbell.
Agustin also said that the victim might be using the bathroom before the incident happened because it was found out that the toilet bowl was not yet flushed.
“Siguro nahilo siya kasi may lahi silang high blood,” Jamon’s aunt said.
Agustin also said that Jamon, who has been working in her employer for six years now, often times has flu.
When she saw the body of the Filipina domestic helper at Victoria Funeral Parlor in Kennedy Town she noticed that she has huge bruise on her forehead and one of her teeth was broken.
Public viewing of Jamon’s remains is set to be done on April 26, 2:00-2:45pm, before she will be brought to the airport to be in her hometown at Barangay Sta Maria, Piddig, Isabela.
Jamon’s remains will be traveled back to Philippines on April 27, 2018 but ATN officials and OWWA are still waiting for her family to process the repatriation of her remains, based on the article.
