Gretchen Barretto reacted to a mother who commented “di kayo patas tumulong” regarding her charity work on social media with friends.
Socialite turned philanthropist Gretchen Barretto was dumbfounded when she received a comment from a mother who said, “Di kayo patas tumulong!”
La Greta shared a screen shot photo of the said comment from a netizen who apparently asking help for her child’s education.
Here is the the rant of the mother against Gretchen:
“D KAU PATAS TUMULONG! ILANG BESES AKO NAGCOMMENT PARA MAG WISH NA SANA TULUNGAN NYO KO PARA MAPAENROL ANAK KO. D NYO PINAPANSIN, KAILANGAN YATA YUNG ME SAKIT AT MAMAMATAY NA ANG TUTULUNGAN NYO!!! ILANG BESES NA AKONG NAGMAKAAWA AT NAKIUSAP, KASO BALEWALA LANG!!!!”
Regarding this, La Greta explained that it is not easy to read requests from thousands of netizens around the country.
The actress/socialite added that together with her friends, who are with her in this endeavor, they set their priorities in extending help to other people.
“We know our priorities & that is for the ones we feel is URGENT,” Gretchen said in her post.
On the other hand, she said that they try their best to grant the wishes which they classified as less urgent.
She also called out to those who express hate to her friend Patty Pineda and Lorna Vingson to stop hating them because they are not the ones who grant requests but it is her and Mimi Que.
La Greta also shared a comment from a netizen who cited the plea of the aforementioned mother for the education of her child.
The netizen with the user name @azurinaubrey on Instagram said:

MAY NABASA AKONG ISANG NANAY NAKIKIUSAP AT NAGMAMAKAAWA PARA MAKAENROL ANG ANAK, ILANG BESES NAGCOMMENT. TAPOS NGAYON BLOCK PA NI MISS PATTY!! MASAMA BA NA MAG WISH PARA SA ANAK. TUMULONG KAYO TIGNAN NYO RIN KUNG KARAPAT DAPAT ANG TAO.”
Gretchen Barretto promised that she and Mimi will continue to study the requests.
