Filipinos were expecting that the Philippines will have a back-to-back win in Miss International. Many thought that Kylie Verzosa would hand her down the crown during the international beauty pageant in Tokyo, Japan last November.
However, Mariel de Leon did not bring home the crown. She took to Instagram the revelation that she regretted listening to other people’s words rather than listen to herself.

The beauty queen then shared an advise that she realized after that experience.
Mariel said “Do what you know would make you happy. Do what you feel is right for yourself. Live for you!”
This was initiated by a quote she shared from “Motivation for Life”.
