“Despite or in spite of my mouth, I will give you a clean government,” ABS-CBN News quoted him saying.
Mayor Duterte slammed also his rivals Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas and UNA party candidate Jejomar Binay who were quick to give comments on his controversial statement over the Australian missionary who was a victim of violence.
“Ako hindi ako namimilit ng tao. Choose. Kung si Binay ang presidente, anong mawala sa inyo? He is a certified plunderer. So with Mar Roxas. Akala ko hindi abusado. He’s using all the resources of the government and money,” he said.
Meanwhile, Duterte has apologized to the public for his contentious statement. However, he stressed that he is apologizing in general, but not to a particular individual or group.
Duterte said that he said those words out of anger. But when he narrated the story during a campaign rally, he used “gutter language” which make it sounds like a “joke.”
Duterte made rounds online after he “joked” about the Australian victim during his campaign rally at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City.
