Open Letter to Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago By a Supporter

An avid supporter of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago named Akira Dela Peña recently wrote a dramatic post on Facebook and is now going viral in social media.

According to her original post, she admitted her support to the Presidential candidate, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago. Her letter says that the Senator must leave the country if she loses the 2016 incoming Presidential election.

Dearest Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago,

Kapag hindi ka pa din nanalo this time, please just leave the country. [if you still won’t win this time, please just leave the country.] Pursue your personal career/interest in the US of A. Iwanan mo na ang mga Pilipino sa taong ginusto nilang mamuno.[leave the Filipino to the person they wanted to lead.] At pag humingi sila ng tulong, it’s about time na talikuran mo na sila.[And if they would ask for help, it’s about time to tur your back on them.] You did your best to serve this country, but these people are blind enough not to see your worth. I swear to everything: the Philippines will be on its best if you’ll win the Presidency; if not, let’s see how far they’ll go. You already won the battle against canc3r, pero ang mga Pilipino, pinapatay ka pa din [but the Filipinos are still kil1ing you].

Bakit ka mananatili sa isang lugar na isinusuka ka ng mga naninirahan.[Why would you stay to a place where nobody wants you?] So please, MDS, kung hindi ka papalarin this time, [if you’re unfortunate (in winning)], do yourself a favor, LEAVE THIS COUNTRY AND LIVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL LIFE. 47 years ng buhay mo ay ibinigay mo sa Pilipinas. [47 years of your life you’ve given to the Philippines]. You could’ve been successful outside the country, pero mas pinili mo ang Pilipinas, ang mga Pilipino. [but, you still chose the Philippines and the Filipios]. Pero ang ibang Pilipino, ilang beses ka nang tinalikuran, gusto ka pang lunurin sa cancer.[But, other Filipinos have turned their backs on you, and they even wanted to put you down because of canc3r]. Ilang beses ka nang sumubok na pamunuan ang bansa, pero ni hindi ka man lang nabigyan ng pagkakataon. [How many times have you tried to lead the nation, but, they didn’t gave you the chance.]

Go on, MDS, lumaban ka hanggang sa huli. [Go on, MDS (Miriam Defensor-Santiago), fight until the end.]
