Sen. Chiz Escudero Reaped Praise From Netizens Because Of His Annual Submission Of Bank Waiver
Sen. Chiz Escudero reaped praise from social media because of his annual submission of a waiver to Ombudsman as a demonstration that he is not hiding any stealth wealth.
According to the balita.net, starting in 2010, enclosed raised Escudero annual Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth or SALN a waiver that gives power to the Ombudsman to fold up his bank deposit.
According to the veteran journalist Inday Espina-Varona, the documents that Escudero has submitted to Ombudsman is the real waiver unlike to some arrogant politicians who were just placing their photoshopped document in a large cardboard.
“This is what a waiver looks like. It is a notarized legal document and it is submitted to the Ombudsman with one’s SALN. It is for every account under one’s name, not just for accounts listed on the SALN, precisely to make it easy to check for hidden wealth,” said Espina-Varona to her Facebook account with such waiver of Escudero.
Added by the contributing editor/writer of ABS-CBN Integrated News & Current Affairs, Sen. Chiz Escudero’s waiver is a practice of his for years, in fairness. You can check his website. According to them, they wrote this about more than a year ago. Also, Sen. Grace Poe has been attaching a waiver to her SALN documents since 2013.
