Daily Playing of Popular Mobile Game Leads To Eye of Young Lady Becoming Blind
YOUNG LADY – A 21-year-old lady is now blind in one eye after playing a popular mobile game daily.
Undeniably, more and more people are getting hooked to mobile gaming now. Most of the population of mobile gamers are young individuals in their 20s but there also teens and people above 30s who are into the same way of the letting time pass.
While it can entertain you when you feel bored or distract you from thoughts you would not like to think about, it also have negative effects . It can harm the body most especially the eyes.
We all know that eyes need to be taken cared of and long exposure to radiation-emitting screens can damage it. That is what happened to a young lady in China who became blind in one eye. She is an avid gamer of a popular mobile game – King of Legend.
Based on an article on Asia One, the young lady was identified as Xiao Wu. She is into the popular mobile game so much that she would play for seven to eight hours straight leading to her right eye getting blind.
Xiao Wu was hospitalized at first and even the staff at Donggiang Huaxia Eye Hospital noticed that she plays the mobile game straight for hours. She would reportedly start playing after breakfast until 4:00 pm.
At around 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon, she would take a nap and then play until 1:00 or 2:00 the next morning.
The habit of the young lady led to her right eye getting blind. The doctors diagnosed that she is suffering from retinal artery occlusion, it is a painless way of losing the monocular vision.
According to the report, the blindness of the lady is permanent. She admitted that she regret not obeying her parents and getting hooked to the mobile game so much.
“Sometimes I lose track of time, I don’t eat even when my parents ask me to. Now I feel afraid and regret (not listening to her parents),” Xiao Wu said.
