Mayor Herbert Bistek Bautista And Other LP Candidates Flourished In Quezon City
Headed by re-electionist Mayor Herbert Bistek Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, almost of the candidates in Liberal Party occupies all the local position in the city after they were proclaimed by the Board of Canvassers last night.
In the official tally, Bautista defeated his three opponents, Martine Sanchez, Alexander Lague, and Leon Peralta with a 729, 917 votes. This is the third and last term of Bautista as the mayor of Quezon City. While Belmonte was proclaimed as Vice Mayor with the total votes of 736, 274.
In congressman, Bingbong won the position in the First District with a 81,799 votes; Winnie Castelo in Second District, 172, 001 votes; Jorge John Banal in Third District, 79, 579 votes; Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. in Fourth District, 115, 002 votes; Alfred Vargas in Fifth District, 134, 946 votes; and Kit Belmonte in Sixth District, 102, 171 votes.
According to balita.net, City Board of Canvas proclaimed the winning candidates for councilor in each district, including Roderick Paulate of Second District and Ali Medalya of Fifth District.
