Arnel Pineda Leads Journey on Ellen.
The legendary band Journey is back on stage with its Filipino front man Arnel Pineda singing to the live audience in an American talk show “Elllen” one of their most popular hits, “Open Arms.”
Talk show host herself Ellen DeGeneres introduced the band to her live audience. Pineda, who can be seen performing in Sunday Variety Show on ABS-CBN, sand the power ballad flawlessly.
DeGeneres lauded the band’s performance particularly its Filipino front man for their performance to which she described as “fantastic” and “amazing.”
Audience of the talk show were then delighted after received free tickets to Pineda and Journey’s tour that will run until July with the Doobie Brothers.

When the original front man of the band passed away, the band considered Pineda to replace him after he was invited by the band after they saw the videos of him singing their hits on YouTube.
In 2008, he eventually joined the band with his first performance in Chile.
Pineda started his singing career back when he was 15-years-old and eventually became the lead vocalist of a rock band. He also had his singing career going abroad.
Becoming country’s pride in the singing industry, Pineda also appeared in local television shows like in ASAP where he often perform. He had also become a guest adviser in the reality singing competition, the VOICE in its first season in the Philippines.
