Many were happy when Angel Locsin announced her engagement to Neil Arce last June, including Maricel Soriano, Angel’s co-star in The General’s Daughter.
“Oo naman. Mahal ko si Angel ‘no. Kahit ano ako, kahit sponsor, guest, whatever. I will be there for Angel. I want Angel and Neil to be happy,” she said during The Heiress The Big Reveal press conference held on Thursday as she would be happy to be part of Angel-Neil nuptials. “They’re good friends of mine and I see them naman very sweet. I just want them to be happy especially Angel. She deserves to be happy.“
She also said that she has already shared her words of wisdom with Angel Locsin as the bride-to-be. “Sinabi ko na sa kanya, ‘Sweetheart, there’s nothing like being happy all the time. It’s so hard to maintain happiness, yung nandiyan lagi yung happiness. Actually, andiyan lang talaga and you just have to, kumbaga sa mga trees hawiin mo lang andiyan lang siya. Ganyan lang yan,’” Maricel said.
Maricel added that she had been busy preparing herself with The Heiress, an upcoming horror movie from Regal Films, after being part of The General’s Daughter.
“Yeah I lost a little weight. Kulang pa. No carbs and nag-e-exercise na ako, nag-ji-gym na ako ngayon. Nag-e-effort ako kasi may edad na ako. Kailangan ko mag-effort,” she said. “Nakakatuwa ano? At my age nag-ji-gym ako. Ibang klase naman yung diet ko. May konting rice pero I take yung shake nila, parang isang meal na yung isang glass. Naka-adjust naman ako. Kailangan.”
Maricel is now preparing for another teleserye in 2020. Eric Quizon, Maricel’s good friend, is helping her in a way that he motivates her to get into shape.
