A young girl from Cebu identified as Kathleen B. Dela Fuente has touched the hearts of the supporters of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte after she gave her small savings, a glass of coins, to the presidential candidate to help for his campaign.
In a post which was posted by the Mayor’s supporters on the Facebook page “Si Duterte Ang Reseta Ko,” Kathleen Dela Fuente was quoted saying “Mayor tanggapin mo po ang ipon ko, tulong ko para sa kampanya mo.”
One netizen commented that she went emotional when she see this post. She praised this girl for making the move at an early age.
“Saludo ako sa batang ito na naghahangad ng tunay na pagbabago.. UHAW na UHAW na ang Pilipinas sa pagbabago. Naiiyak ako ngayon sa kasiyaan na may takot baka dayain nila ang Election . Maraming Salamat Duterte,” she wrote.
While the post says that she is from Toledo, one commentor said that she is from Naga City and she always present every time the mayor held his campaign in Cebu.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Duterte got the support of “One Cebu” which was led by the influential Garcia clan. They promised one million for the presidential bet this coming May 9 election. The family formerly endorsed vice president Jejomar Binay and dumped him recently.
According to Inquirer, Cebu province has a voting population of 2.7 million which is reported as the biggest in the Philippines.
One Cebu is also supporting Bonbong Marcos for the vice presidential race. The group announced their endorsement last week.
