PAL Says P99 Fare Promo Fake
Philippine Airlines (PAL) releases a statement on Friday warning against a fake promo circulating all over the Internet with the company’s name.
In the statement released by the Philippine Airlines, the said “P99 fare promo” was actually fake and is not authorized or even from PAL itself. The said statement by PAL on its official Facebook page was to warn the public about this fraud.
The statement of PAL goes this way:
“It has come to our attention that a promo offering tickets for P99 is spreading online. Please be advised that this is not authorized or sanctioned by the Philippine Airlines. All seat sale promotions being offered to the general public by Philippine Airlines are approved by the Philippine Civil Aeronautics Board (PCAB) and are always published on our verified social media accounts or on the official Philippine Airlines website.”
“Rest assured, that we will be coordinating with authorities to identify parties behind the website so we can take necessary legal actions.”
The said airline promised to go after the perpetrators who created the site which has seen spread the fake post.
The said website, “thelatest.cf”, offered the said P99 promo. Then, the fake post went viral on different social media sites making people believe in the fraud.
According to those people who tried going to the said website, others should not click the post as it might contain a malware or v1rus.
The PAL added that the said website was not theirs of even affiliated to them.
“Please be advised that the Php99 promo circulating online from a certain thelatest.cf website is not an official Philippine Airlines promotion.”
Be advised to not just click anything on social media or the Internet itself. It might lead to worse things.
