BREAKING: PhilHealth CEO Ricardo Morales Undergoes Chemotherapy Amid Probe
PHILHEALTH CEO UNDERGOES CHEMOTHERAPY – Amid the the investigations into the alleged anomalies within the state-run insurance firm PhilHealth, CEO Ricardo Morales had a medical issue.
Based on a report from Rapper, Morales presented a medical certificate to the Senate Committee that said he was undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma. As such, Morales’ doctors advised him to take a leave of absence.
Furthermore, the note emphasized that because of his condition, Morales has become immunocompromised. Considering the viral outbreak in the country, Morales now had more reason to take a temporary leave.
According to the report, the certificate read:
This is to certify that General Ricardo C. Morales, 67 years old male, is a diagnosed case of Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Cardinal Santos Medical Center. He is advised to complete 6 cycles of treatment during which he will be immunocompromised and vulnerable to opportunistic infections.
It is therefore in his best interest that I have advised him to take a leave of absence. He shall undergo a repeat PET CT Scan after completing 6 cycles of chemotherapy, after which I shall make a recommendation when he can resume work.
This is being issued at the request of General Morales for whatever legal purpose it may serve.
