Teacher Selling Food On Sidewalk With Daughter Now Runs Small Business
TEACHER LISA – The teacher that went viral on social media after being spotted selling food on the sidewalk now own her own small store.
After teacher Lisa’s story went viral, she received massive support from the online community. This led to a member of the Facebook group “Quarantine Tribute Tips” to call out to her members for help.
According to an article from ABS-CBN, netizens Ayla Conda, a member of the Facebook page, asked for help to fulfill Teacher Lisa’s dream of owning her own store. Meanwhile, Teacher Chelsey, Lisa’s daughter, they were so happy with the help they got from Conda.
Amid the coronavirus quarantine, several working-class Filipinos have lost their jobs. As such, many find themselves struggling to provide their family’s day to day needs. Because of this, others take to the streets and try to sell products to get a small income just like Teacher Lisa.
However, many still struggle because of the health crisis in the country. Moreover, going outside to find income now becomes a dangerous endeavor because of the ongoing viral outbreak in the country.
Currently, the Philippines has over 202,361 reported cases of COVID-19. Of that number 3,137 have succumbed to the deadly disease. Meanwhile, 133,460 have recovered following the DOH’s scheduled mass testing.
Thankfully, Teacher Lisa and Chelsey now have a source of income that’s less dangerous than what they previously did. As per the article, Chelsey wishes that they’d only need to go out occasion so that they could remain safe amid the pandemic.
