Donald Trump Tests Positive For COVID-19
BREAKING: TRUMP TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 – United States President Donald Trump and First Lady Melanie Trump tested positive for the new coronavirus.
On his official Twitter page, the POTUS stated:
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!
Yesterday, an official close to the US President tested positive for the virus. Hope Hicks had been traveling with Trump several times recently, including his debate in Cleveland earlier this week.
Last Thursday, President Trump tweeted this about Hicks’ test results:
Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for COVID 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!
According to the CDC, the President should follow the 14-day quarantine guidelines. Meanwhile, according to an article from CNN, White House spokesman Judd Deere said Trump takes the health and safety of everyone and himself very seriously.
