In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, “Ikaw” singer said that she support Siaboc’s decision to surrender and start a new life.
She also commended President Rodrigo Duterte’s effect, saying that people now are the ones surrendering to the authorities for their unlawful acts.
Furthermore, the 27-year-old singer said that she will back him up with prayers. She also expressed his hopes to meet with Siaboc.
“Gusto mong magbagong buhay, alam namin. We will back you up with prayers at sana ay magka-connect tayo para magka-usap tayo very soon,” she added.
Jay-R Siaboc finished 1st runner-up to Yeng Constantino in the 2006 singing competition. He was one of the 200 drug suspects who surrendered to police in Toledo as part of the city’s “Oplan Tokhang.”
Siaboc also signed an oath together with users and pushers to stop using illegal drugs.
The 29-year-old singer last appeared in the defunct hit series “Imortal” in 2011. He also made an appearance last 2015 at the noontime show “It’s Show” as a guest performer.
