In writing this letter, you must:
- Know your recipient. The drafting of your letter must start so you’ll know when to put a casual or professional tone in your letter. Regardless of any situation, it is important to be concise.
- Explain the intent of your letter by indicating the reason why you are writing one.
- Offer options for schedule. In an informational interview, it is good to have options. It is also being considerate of the availability of the person you are reaching out to.

Dear Mr. Figueroa:
Good day! The Christmas season is here and the Student Council is very much excited for the annual Christmas letter to be released to the students. This year, it will contain reports about the winners during the Pasko Pa ‘Rin event held last week, the chosen Christmas write-ups from the students, and messages from the school officials.
Sir, you are one of the pillars of this institution and your message will mean a lot to every student most especially these trying times. I would like to request if I can interview you about your Christmas message. The Christmas letter will be released before December 29, 2020, and I would be very much willing to talk with you at your most convenient time.
Thank you so much for reading this letter. More power!
Sincerely,
