How true is it that Chavit Singson now has the Miss Universe Philippines franchise?
Is it really true that former Ilocos Sur Governor and business tycoon Chavit Singson now has the franchise of Miss Universe Philippines?
There were rumors that the franchise of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the Philippines now belongs to the rich businessman.
The recently concluded Miss Universe 2018 is extra special to all the people in the Philippines. It is because the all-female selection committee has chosen a Filipina beauty queen.
Bicolana beauty Catriona Gray was crowned as this year’s Miss Universe last December 17 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The whole country celebrated with her and her fellow Filipinos showed their support for her in various ways.
When Catriona went back to the country on Wednesday, she boarded on a private plane which apparently belongs to Chavit Singson.
This added to the speculations that the politician/businessman now has the control in the Philippine franchise of the pageant.

Based on the report from Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), an initial report stated that Chavit was one of the passengers in the private plane which brought Catriona to the country.
The former politician confirmed that he still has a partnership with Miss Universe Organization (MUO). He stated about this in an interview which happened back in June.
When the international pageant was held in the Philippines last January 2017, Singson was one of the producers. That was during the 65th edition of Miss Universe.
According to the report, this is one of the reasons why his daughter Richelle Singson-Michael was one of the members of the all-female judges of the pageant this year.

Now, that Chavit Singson is in the country, press people will definitely asked him about the aforementioned speculations.
He will be asked if the MUO really gave him the Miss Universe Philippines franchise, based on the report.
The fact that BPCI did not announced the homecoming of Catriona Gray also added to the speculations.
