In a special presentation at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday night, ABS-CBN unveiled its national lineup of shows prepared for the first quarter of 2024. The ABS-CBN Christmas Special paved the way for the introduction of new programs and projects that will entertain viewers on free television.
One of the main surprises is the transition of the popular drama series on Prime Video, “Linlang,” starring Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, and JM de Guzman, to free TV. This series, which revolves around infidelity, became a favorite in various countries and territories worldwide. The success of Kim and Pau’s series leads to another collaboration, where they will bring to life the Philippine adaptation of the beloved K-Drama, “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”
Another K-drama, “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay,” will have a Filipino adaptation featuring Anne Curtis, Carlo Aquino, and Joshua Garcia. This project made headlines years ago when it was initially offered to Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, who declined the roles.
Asian Academy Creative Award winner for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Arjo Atayde, is returning to his acclaimed role in the web series “Bag Man,” where he will be joined by renowned actors John Arcilla and Judy Ann Santos.
After “Flower of Evil,” Piolo Pascual will team up in the new teleserye “Pamilya Sagrado,” alongside young actors Kyle Echarri and Grae Fernandez.
The doors of “Pinoy Big Brother,” one of the most successful reality shows on Philippine TV, are opening once again.
“The Voice,” a popular singing competition, is making a comeback, this time with teens taking the spotlight, hoping to impress the coaches.
With the unveiling of these projects, viewers can expect more gripping and entertaining stories from ABS-CBN in their homes in the first part of 2024. The inclusion of well-known artists and innovative show concepts reflects the continuous efforts of the network to remain an integral part of the daily lives of Filipinos.
