Ai-ai Delas Alas Disappointed Over Treatment Of Senior Citizens Victimized by “Laglag-Bala”

Ai-ai Delas Alas is disappointed over treatment of elderly couple found possessing a bullet.

Comedian and actress Ai-ai Delas Alas took to Instagram where she expressed her disappointment over the treatment of senior citizens who were found possessing live .38-caliber bullet in one of their bags at the departure area of Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)

Salvacion and Esteban Cortabista, age 75 and 78 from of Boso-Boso, Antipolo, Rizal were blocked from boarding Korean Airlines flight KE 622 bound for Los Angeles, California.

Based upon the report of Philstar.com, the elderly couple were shocked after Office for Transport Security (OTS) personnel told them that a live ammo was retrieved in one of their luggage.

The two senior citizens denied possessing the item “and we both know that carrying bullets in the airport is prohibited so why we would bring bullet?”

Esteban Cortabista noted in a press interview that he was startled after security personnel did not trace the bullet although they gone through an x-ray scanning.

“We were allowed to pass the first X-ray machine and no bullet was seen in our luggage and we were surprised that after we passed the final X-ray, suddenly there was a bullet that appeared… this is clear that we are victims of the ‘bullet-planting’ scam,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ai-Ai Delas Alas took image sharing site where she posted a some details of the certain incident and according to her she felt pity upon the treatment of the elderly couple.

The incident is being linked to the so-called “laglag-bala” controversy which was highlighted last year where several Filipinos and even foreign nationals have been victimized. The authorities are currently conducting investigation prior to the incident.
