Angelica Panganiban Still Supports Duterte After “Joke”

The “Banana Sundae” star Angelica Panganiban remains to be a supporter of presidential frontrunner Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte following his controversial remark about an Australian Missionary. Yesterday, she took her Instagram account to show her support.

In the photo and video-sharing site, the former child actress said that there will be unlawful acts if the person who leads the Philippines is not afraid to clean the country. She wrote it along with a photo of mug imprinted with Duterte’s name.

“Walang krimen, walang magnanakaw, walang kababuyan kung ang namumuno ng bansa natin ay hindi natatakot ayusin at linisin ang Pilipinas. Babae ako at ang Pangulo ko ay si Duterte,” she said.

Angelica Panganiban issued the statement after the tough-talking mayor made a controversial and sentive remarks about an Australian woman who was violated in Davao detention cell in 1989. After facing criticisms, Duterte apologized over the contentious remarks.

In her second post, the 29-year-old kapamilya star narrated that she met with Duterte’s daughter Sara Duterte during a campaign rally at Bacolod City. She said that she was very excited to see them.

“Nilapitan ako ng ibang staff na mag pa picture daw sila Mayor Sara tumayo ako sa upuan ko at excited na makita sila masayang masaya lang yung energy ng lahat,” she said.

Responding to the post, Sara Duterte posted aslo a photo with the actress. She thanked her supporting her father.
