Angelica on Her Viral ‘Hugot” Lines, “Joke Lang Lahay ‘Yon.’
Following her viral moments on her Sunday show, Angelica Panganiban clarified that there is no truth to all her ‘hugot lines’ that were speculated by most fans as referring to her ex-boyfriend.
Panganiban’s viral breakup “hugot” lines have trended online following the episodes in “Banana Sunday” as the skits draw various reactions from viewers.
While the actress and ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz have already called it quits while keeping mum about the matter, fans of the actress speculated that her “hugot” lines refer to their relationship.
However, the actress herself clarified in an interview that the fans get it wrong.
“Naku sa inyo na nga lang din nanggaling na lahat ng mga hugot lines na iyon, galing sa show na ‘Banana Sundae’ so ibig sabihin nagpapatawa lang kami. Joke lang lahat ng ‘yon.” she said in an interview with Sunshine Garcia pretending as a reporter.
She jokingly asked why of all the news that needed to be reported, her jokes on the Sunday show has been considered.
Panganiban added that all her lines were made by the writers of the show.
“Nagbibiro lang kami. Joke lang lahat ng ‘yon, walang personalan,” she explained.
After Garcia asked the actress, she thanked Panganiban for answering the interview, jokingly asking her, “Sa uulitin ha?” to which the actress replied:
“Sa uulitin? Kapag ang isang relasyon tapos na, hindi na puwedeng ulitin. Ibig sabihin noon, the end na, walang ulitan.”
Following the speculations that the two have broken up, talent manager Ogie Diaz on his radio program first revealed that long-time couple Cruz and Panganiban have broken up in January 2016.
Speculations smoked up Bea Alonzo for the alleged reason behind their spilt, however Diaz explained that no other parties were involved in the break-up.
”He [John Lloyd] told me na hindi sila ni Bea at hindi niligawan [ni John Lloyd] si Bea.” Diaz said.
