Kapamilya actress-host Bianca Gonzalez shares an inspiring message to people who are calling her “negra,” a word used to describe women with dark-colored skin. This was after she responded to bashers who called her 6-month-old daughter “panget and negra.”

The former “Pinoy Big Brother” host took her Facebook page to address the issue and encourage people to be proud of their complexion despite what others may say.

Bianca Gonzalez admitted that she also felt insecure with her skin when she was young. But when she discovered her capabilities and make real friends, she realized that skin color doesn’t really matter.

“Na-insecure din ako nung bata ako, until I discovered my talents and built real friendships and realized skin color doesn’t matter,” she said.

The 33-year-old star told the her follower that they should be proud of their dark skin because it’s the original color of Filipinos.

“Pinoy tayo, kayumanggi ang kulay natin, be proud of it! To any young Pinoy reading this, huwag na huwag ma-pressure na magpaputi dahil hindi mo kailangan yan, maganda ang kulay mo,” she further said.

Bianca Gonzalez, who is married to PBA cager JC Intal, has a daughter named Lucia. She recently made headlines after defending her daughter on Instagram from basher who called Lucia “negra.”

Gonzalez said that she has no plans to change something about her daughter because she is proud of her. She also added that being called “morena” is not an insult for her, but a compliment.
