In a statement, Big Hit Music shared, “We are excited to bring you the news of J-Hope’s upcoming military discharge. J-Hope is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged.” However, the agency added that discharge day is a significant event for many service members, not just for J-Hope, and therefore no specific events will be held. “To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” the agency requested.

Big Hit Music further expressed gratitude to fans, saying, “We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for J-Hope. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists.” Fans were reminded to continue showing their affection and support but from afar.

J-Hope enlisted in the military on April 18, 2023, and has been serving as an assistant instructor at the 36th Infantry Division’s recruit training center located in Wonju, Gangwon Province. His military service has been closely followed by fans, who have expressed their pride in his contributions both as an artist and a service member.

In anticipation of his return, J-Hope’s fans have already started preparing special tributes. A bench garden dedicated to the BTS star has been created at Seoul Forest by fans. Called “J-Hope Forest 2,” the garden features wooden benches engraved with his name, surrounded by various plants. This garden, located between the central pond and water playground in the park, serves as a peaceful tribute to the artist and symbolizes fans’ love and admiration.

As J-Hope prepares for his discharge, fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting his return to the spotlight and future activities with BTS.
