‘MMK’ episode featuring Bong Go criticized by netizens
ABS-CBN’s drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya is featuring the life story of former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go and netizens criticized it due to political reasons.
In the history of Philippine television, MMK is the longest-running drama anthology which started in 1991. It has already featured the lives of people from different walks of life.
On Saturday, February 9 episode, the life of Bong Go is the featured story. However, as soon as the teaser was released netizens criticized the episode because of political reasons.
It is not a secret among Filipino voters that the former SAF is one of the political candidates this coming 2019 midterm elections.
In line with this, netizens view the MMK feature about Go’s story as part of his campaign.
Some netizens expressed that they will boycott the said episode of Charo Santos-Concio’s show. Even actors Joseph Marco and Philip Salvador were criticized for accepting the acting job.
