Race Matias, the son of Herbert Bautista looks like Mario Maurer
Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, who is also a former actor, has a son named Race Matias who happens to be a look-alike of Thai actor Mario Maurer.
Filipinos have known Mario Maurer for his romantic movie Crazy Thing Called Love and the horror-comedy Pee Mak.
Mario also worked with Star Quest winner Sandara Park who became one of the members of 2NE1.
Apparently, the Thai actor does not only has a bunch of Filipino fans but he also has a Pinoy look-alike in the person of Herbert Bautista’s son.
Based on the article published on PEP, Race Matias shared a story when a group of young girls mistakenly called him as Mario Maurer.
He is the 21-year-old son of Herbert with Eloisa Matias.
According to the Mayor’s son, he was in a mall when a group of squealing girls approached him. They thought he was the Thai actor.
Race said that he is not Mario Maurer but the girls insisted and had a photo op with him.
Obviously, Race has a resemblance to the Thai star and they are both 5’10 in height.
Just like his father, the young man also wanted to enter the showbiz industry. However, his dream is to become a director because he took a film course at the New York Film Academy.
On the other hand, Viva Entertainment’s Boss Vic Del Rosario saw his potential to be a leading man.
According to Boss Vic, Race is a lead-star material who is not fit to be in a comedy stint.
While Herbert Bautista’s son is still studying the in and out of the Philippine cinema, his directorial plans are on halt.
Race Matias has already signed an exclusive contract with Viva Artist Agency, based on the report.
