Aiko Melendez Hopes for the Victory of BF Mayor Jay Khonghun & Ex-Husband Jomari Yllana in Election 2019
AIKO MELENDEZ – Actress-politician Aiko Melendez spoke on the political aspirations of her boyfriend, Subic Mayor Jay Khonghun, and her actor-turned-politician ex-husband, Jomari Yllana.
Aiko is one of the actresses who are in the showbiz industry for several years now. Her life is not totally a secret to public having lived most of her years in the entertainment industry.
It is no secret to the public that Aiko had a relationship with Jomari Yllana before. They married but, later on, separated and had their marriage annulled. They have a son, Andre Yllana.
Currently, Aiko Melendez is in a relationship with Subic Mayor Jay Khonghun. He is running for Vice Governor of Zambales in the upcoming election. The actress’ former husband, Jomari Yllana, is also vying for a councilor seat in Parañaque.
Recently, speaking to Pep, Aiko Melendez expressed her side on the political pursuits of her boyfriend, Mayor Jay Khonghun, and her ex-husband, Jomari Yllana.
In a private message, the conversation began centering on the recent 6.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Zambales. According to the actress, they were campaigning when it happened.
“Bukod sa aming mga sarili, ang unang nasa isip namin ay ang mga kababayan niyang (Mayor Jay Khonghun) taga-Zambales,” she said.
According to Aiko, the 24-hour rescue team of her boyfriend remained alert and continued to monitor the situations for 24 hours. They are thankful that the incident did not greatly affect the place.
With regards to the political pursuits of Mayor Jay Khonghun and Jomari Yllana, Aiko Melendez expressed that she is praying that both of them will win in the upcoming election.
Currently, the actress’ son is in the United States but he has already campaigned for his father before he flew to U.S. According to Andre’s mom, he also campaigned for Mayor Jay Khonghun.
“Si Andre, nagkampanya rin para sa kanyang dad bago umalis pa-States. Both sides, nagkampanya siya,” the actress expressed based on the report.
To the possibility of her boyfriend’s victory, Aiko expressed that if Mayor Jay’s ratings won’t change until May 13, there is a big chance that he will really win as vice governor of Zambales.
“Alaman naman kasi ng tao kung ano ang mga nagawa niya para sa kanyang mga kababayan, kung ano ang projects niya, kaya mahal siya ng mga ito,” she said.
