Recalling the battered wife phase of Ruffa Gutierrez made her teary-eyed
Actress/product endorser Ruffa Gutierrez was teary-eyed as she recalled the time when she was a battered wife.
Ruffa is the eldest child of veteran showbiz personalities Eddie Gutierrez and Anabelle Rama. She belongs to one of the popular showbiz clans in the Philippines.
Aside from acting, she also ventured into beauty pageants and joined the Miss World in 1993 wherein she was hailed as the second runner-up.
She already did several TV shows and movies when she met her former husband Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas in 2003. They had two daughters, Lorin Gabriella and Venezia Loran.

However, Ruffa and Yilmaz separated and they confirmed this through a joint statement on May 8, 2007.
Apparently, the actress can no longer tolerate being tied in a marriage that brought pain to her.
Based on the report from Pang-Masa, Ruffa Gutierrez can still get emotional when she recalls that she was once a battered wife.

The actress shared to entertainment columnist Jun Lalin that during the Avon Vital Voices Media Session, she was teary-eyed as other speakers were on stage. Ruffa tried to hide her tears because she did not want to be the center of the attention.

Meanwhile, Ruffa said that her mother, Annabelle Rama, is forcing her to lose weight because she will soon shoot for Kapamilya series Love Thy Woman, based on the report.
