Here’s the reason why Winwyn Marquez was called “kabit” in Japan
Actress/beauty queen Winwyn Marquez was called “kabit” in Japan because of this amusing reason.
Winwyn is the daughter of showbiz veterans Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno. Aside from acting, the Kapuso star also inherited the dancing prowess of her mother. She also joined the beauty pageants and was crowned Miss Hispanoamericana 2017. Winwyn was the first-ever Pinay beauty queen to win the said title.
After the pageant, she is now back in acting and behind her stardom, she still admits that she is a fangirl. Her fangirling went to the next level when she went to Japan to watch the concert of her favorite K-pop group BTS.
She documented her experience with other BTS fans on her Twitter account.

“Fyi kung saan saan ako nakaupo super strict sa phone may 2 na pinalabas ng venue during the concert so hindi ako nag-try. But omg wala na akong boses. Omg lang,” she said in one of her posts.

In one of her posts, she also shared the story of why she was called “kabit”, based on the article from Abante. Filipinos in Japan were able to identify her and was associated with her latest Kapuso TV series titled Dahil Sa Pag-ibig.

“I’m in Japan now and sobrang amazed ako pag may mga Pinoy na sinasabi sa akin. si Portia, kabit ni Eldon (Benjamin Alves). #DahilSaPagibig,” Winwyn Marquez shared.
