Megastar Sharon Cuneta revealed that she experienced discrimination abroad not just for a single time but for three times already.

Sharon is one of the icons of show business in the Philippines. Aside from her hit TV series and movies in the past, she also popularized several songs that have become a part of the lives of many Filipinos. However, despite her social and showbiz status, the Megastar also experienced discrimination abroad from the people who had no idea who she is.

During a recent interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda, Sharon said that she already experienced discrimination for three times in her life. She said that there was a time when a saleslady in a Cartier boutique in Hongkong ignored her. “My outfit was very simple, shirt lang and jeans. I said, ‘Excuse me.’ ‘I’m not finished yet!’ I was so angry, there was another sales rep who was very nice, and I ended up buying things I didn’t really need because I was so angry,” the Megastar shared.

She pointed out that it makes her angry when other races discriminate Filipinos. “Ako, galit ako kapag Pilipino inaapi,” Sharon Cuneta said. Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez also agreed to what Mega said. Regine recently shared a sales representative from a Louis Vuitton store in New York mistreated her. “No one can fault you for buying something expensive because you work for it,” Sharon said who expressed readiness to defend Regine. The two OPM icons promoted their Iconic concert in the said show of Boy Abunda, based on the article from Bandera.
