Will Nadine Lustre change her showbiz after her daring photos surfaced?
Daring photos of Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre surfaced on social media just recently and these arose the thoughts that she may change her showbiz image soon.
Nadine was first known for her “pa-tweetums” roles in movies with loveteam and live-in partner James Reid. From being an onscreen pair, the two Kapamilya stars were able to found love with each other and their relationship is now going to its fourth year.
From that sweet, teeny roles they played, the couple evolved into mature roles. Eventually, they showed that they can do more than that. Just recently, Nadine posed for her birthday shoot. Unlike the normal birthday shoots, the Kapamilya actress went a higher notch as she was more daring. She had a photo without a shirt while and the other photo showed her revealing one-piece swimsuit.
Because of these daring photos, thoughts that she will change her showbiz image arose, according to the article by columnist Ed de Leon in Pang-Masa. The columnist said that Nadine Lustre might drift away from the category of Kathryn Bernardo and other young actresses of the Kapamilya network. “Inamin nilang mahina ang dalawang huling pelikula niya (Nadine) at kasabay noon nakapag-rehistro naman ng all time high sa box office si Kathryn Bernardo,” de Leon stated in his article.

To the woman who continues to break the stereotype of being a Filipina leading woman. To the woman who embraced the skin she is in so every other morena can love her color too. To the woman whose ideals are progressive enough to always put the female on a pedestal. It can be recalled that this kind of re-branding is not new anymore in the Philippine entertainment industry. This was rampant during the late 90s and early 2000s. De Leon cited in his article that this was also the career move that Joyce Jimenez and Amanda Page did during their era. Although they did daring films, their movies such as Warat and Gayuma did well in the box-office.
