Is Albert Martinez Sharon Cuneta’s first showbiz boyfriend?
ALBERT MARTINEZ – Kapamilya actor Albert Martinez broke his silence on his past romance with Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Following the recent reunion project of celebrity ex-couple Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, the Megastar revealed the people whom she had a romantic relationship with in the past.
Sharon named Albert Martinez, Gabby Concepcion, Robin Padilla, Richard Gomez, and Rowell Santiago as the actors that she had a relationship with before.
Based on a recent report in Pep, in an interview with the source, Albert Martinez confirmed that she and Sharon Cuneta had a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship when they were still teenagers.
According to the veteran actor, their romance can be tagged as a ‘puppy love’ as he was just 17 years old and Sharon was just 14 years old when they got into a relationship. Both of them were already actors then.
Albert Martinez expressed that she is the first showbiz boyfriend of the Megastar. He shared that he met the actress in the GMA Supershow and that was during the time of the song Mr. DJ.
Based on the report, the film Dear Heart which was shown in 1981 was supposedly mainly starred by Albert and Sharon as it was offered to them. However, Mother Lily Monteverde disagreed with it and gave the actor Bata Pa Si Sabel.
Albert and Gabby exchanged projects and the former was paired with actress Snooky Serna who also became his girlfriend then. Gabby and Sharon also fell in love with each other. Meanwhile, Albert clarified that there was no overlapping of relationship.
In 1987, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion officially tied the knot. They had a private civil wedding and then a church wedding. Based on a report, their love resulted to KC Concepcion who is now a grown-up lady with her own business.
Albert Martinez married the late Liezl Sumilang-Martinez and they have three children.
