An entertainment columnist said that the career of Alden Richards is much better without Maine Mendoza as his loveteam partner.
The career of Pambansang Bae Alden Richards will see a new light of day without his former loveteam partner Maine Mendoza, according to a columnist
They are known together as AlDub but the phenomenal tandem became controversial when the Dubmash Queen revealed that there is nothing more beyond their friendship.
On the other hand, there is a perception that the exit of Alden from the onscreen partnership was the best thing that GMA network did for his career.
This is the thought of the article that Bandera entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin penned.’
Fermin said that since the Pambansang Bae is a homegrown talent of the Kapuso network, the criticisms from the AlDub fans do not weigh that much.
It is because, reportedly, there are complaints from some of the members of the AlDub Nation that the treatment of GMA between Alden and Maine is unfair.
Allegedly, the management of the said network is prioritizing the projects for the Kapuso actor.
According to the columnist, it is but natural for GMA to do that because it is the network who gave birth to his career in show business.
She added that there is a big difference for the reason that Menggay is not under the management of the Kapuso network.
“Siyempre’y si Alden ang kailangan nilang asikasuhin, ang bigyan ng mga markadong projects, dahil sa kanila nagsimula at nakilala si Alden,” Fermin said in her article.
For her, the intensity of the support from fans to the AlDub loveteam now is not as what it was before.
Alden and Maine’s effect to the public now is far different from what they used to have.

Because of that, it is just right that the Pambansang Bae went out of the onscreen tandem, according to the columnist.
She added that no one will ever say that Alden’s career will be greatly affected without Maine.
