Enrique Gil Reveals Side on ‘Bagani’ Being Compared To Other Epic TV Series

BAGANI – Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil revealed his side on the comparison made between the upcoming fantasy series ‘Bagani’ and other epic television series.

Many fans and supporters of loveteam partners Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano are very excited to watch the upcoming fantasy series Bagani of the Kapamilya network. It is expected to air its pilot episode in March.

Based on a recent report in Pep, it is a fantasy series wherein Enrique plays the character of Lakas who later on trained Ganda, the character played by Liza, and the members of her tribe.

During the press conference for Samsung, Enrique Gil admitted that he had challenging times during the shoot for Bagani. According to him, whenever they film action scenes, the muscles should really be flexed.

The young Kapamilya actor also shared that they had to deal with the sand and the heat when they were shooting in Ilocos. He admitted that it is harder to run on the sand as they were using sandals.

“Sa Ilocos, ang init tapos naka-sandals lang kami, yung buhangin mainit,” he said.

Based on the report, Bagani was previously compared to GMA-7’s fantasy TV series Encantadia.

When asked about his side over the comparison made between Bagani and other epic TV series, Enrique Gil expressed that other epic series were “epic for a reason”.

He stressed that they are just doing what they are told to do and that is to tell a great epic story for the people and that is what they really want to do.

Based on the report, Enrique Gil also stressed that Bagani is something new and it is very close to their hearts. Aside from Ilocos, they also filmed in Subic and Bataan.

Among the other casts of the upcoming fantasy series are Makisig Morales, Diether Ocampo, Sofia Andres, and Matteo Guidicelli.
