This is the reaction of Ethel Booba to PNP’s act of arresting “tambays”
Comedienne Ethel Booba expressed her reaction regarding the current issue about the act of members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in arresting “tambays”.
The Twitter diva retweeted a post from netizen @jmflorante which elaborated their experience last June 16.
According to the said netizen, he and his friends were waiting outside the house of their other friend who was just changing clothes for they were heading out together.
It was 11 pm when policemen approached detained them in the precinct for being “tambays”, based on the article published in Inquirer.
Ethel Booba retweeted the said post from @jmflorante along with her sound advice.
“I think the police were trained to be intimidating. Even if they invite you in a nicest way, you have the right to refuse and if they insist upon it, ask for a warrant of arrest,” the comedienne said.
She then said that there are times that one should resist especially when one is right.

This received a comment from Twitter user @jacaguete who had a situational question regarding the arresting of loiterers.
“E kung nakatutok ang baril? Tas pag [tumanggi] ka sabihin nanlaban tas tataniman ng 38 caliber, anu magagawa?” the said netizen asked Ethel.

The comedienne answered this with a serious mode even though her signature ‘Charot!’ expression was still there.
According to Ethel, if this is the case in the first place, then it cannot be expected that the one arresting will do something good.
