JAYA ON ABS-CBN’S “VIP TREATMENT” TO REGINE VELASQUEZ – Singer Jaya reacted to the special treatment of ABS-CBN to her fellow singer Regine Velasquez.
Undeniably, one of the events in the Philippine showbiz industry that really captured the spotlight this year is the transfer of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez to ABS-CBN.
After 20 years of being under the GMA-7, the actress-singer joined her husband, Ogie Alcasid, in the Kapamilya network. Meanwhile, she is vocal of her gratitude to her former home network. She was emotional when she bid her farewell to them.
Regine Velasquez is now under the same network with her husband and many of her Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya friends including Jaya. The latter has been a Kapuso for 16 years before she switched networks.

According to Regine, she wanted to experience working with other talents so she made the decision to transfer. The returning Kapamilya actress appeared as guests on several ABS-CBN shows. Undeniably, lots of people noticed the excellent journey that awaits her.
Recently, one of the celebrity friends of Regine Velasquez was asked of the “VIP treatment” of ABS-CBN to the actress-singer. In an interview with Pep and other reporters, Jaya expressed her side stressing that it does not envy her.
According to the singer, she knows that Regine also supports them that is why she never feels jealous. She stressed that they all support each other.
“Itong trabaho namin, pare-pareho kami na gusto namin makapagpasaya ng tao, to sing, and share what we have as singers,” she said.
Based on the report, Jaya added that they have different projects and they have their own moment to shine. The singer expressed that they are grateful that they still sing up to now.
“Di ba, maging grateful ka and wala na akong hihilingin pa,” the singer said.
The question about the “VIP treatment” of ABS-CBN to Regine Velasquez reportedly came amid the talks that other singers were left out. As to Jaya, she is happy for her fellow singer and she is one of those who knew about her decision.
“Pinag-uusapan namin a few years back… We were vibering… That’s her journey… We’re just looking in and enjoying the moment with her,” she expressed based on the report.
Currently, Jaya is preparing for her upcoming concert with Patti Austin entitled “Christmas with Soul Divas”. The interview happened at the launch of their upcoming concert at Solaire on December 6.
