This is the reason why Lani Mercado said that she felt pressured because of Cesar Montano.
Actress Lani Mercado, who is also the incumbent Bacoor City Mayor, admitted that she felt pressured because of former Tourism Promotions Board head Cesar Montano.
It can be recalled that Cesar resigned as the chairman of TPB after the controversy about the ‘Buhay Carinderia’ project came to the knowledge of the public.
In line with his resignation, Mayor Lani felt that she needed to carry a heavy burden of responsibility on her shoulders.

It is because she is currently organizing the International Marching Band Competition that is set to be held in the Philippines this year.
As it is a fact that Bacoor is known for its marching band and the Department of Tourism acknowledge it also, the said event will take place in Lani’s hometown.
The actress/politician was able to have a partnership with Mayor Joseph Estrada because Manila is the sister city of Bacoor.
On the other hand, the pressure she felt is still intense because of Cesar Montano’s resignation.
It is because TPB is one of the major sponsors in the said event that she is organizing.
The exit of Wanda Teo from the DOT had a great effect to Lani’s preparation and the pressure even went to a higher notch when Cesar resigned.
Despite of what happened, the Bacoor Mayor was able to find some help, based on the article published in Pilipino Star Ngayon.
“Pero God is good, may ilang kumpanyang tumulong sa amin na nagbigay ng sponsorship. Kaya kami po ay nagpasalamat sa kanilang tulong,” Lani Mercado shared.
She is happy to relate that behind the problem that occurred with the DOT and the pressure she felt, the 1st International Marching Band Competition, the Bacoor International Music Championship is all set.
The event opening will be held at Quirino Grandstand on June 22 while the culminating ceremony will take place at SM MOA Arena on June 24, based on the report.
