This is the reaction of Lea Salonga to a young singer who imitated her performance of the iconic song ‘On My Own’.
A young singer recently caught the attention of Broadway diva and ‘The Voice Philippines’ coach Lea Salonga.
The powerful voice from a not-so-big young girl made Lea post something on Twitter.
It was ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ contestant Esang de Torres as she performed the iconic ‘Les Mirables’ song ‘On My Own’.
The said song was sang by Lea for numerous times and it is identified as the song of her character ‘Eponine’ in the one of the most popular musical plays in Broadway.
During the recent episode of ‘YFSF’, Esang had to imitate Lea. Her remarkable performance received a reaction from her coach when she joined the ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’ in 2015.
Lea wrote on her Twitter post, “My goodness, this kid is just so good.”
With this, many netizens commented that the young singer indeed gave a superb performance.
On the other hand, many were also saddened that Esang did not win that round as she imitated Lea Salonga.
The Broadway diva praised the young singer for her performance but the praises from netizens echoed back to Lea.
Netizens pointed out that the singer/actress has a big role in enhancing the talent of Esang.

Lea Salonga is currently doing the Broadway play ‘Once On This Island. She has become one of the Filipino singers who bring pride to the country in the field of theater.
Esang de Torres is one of the young ladies who are following her footsteps. The young diva has already been part of various local musical plays.
