Romeo ‘Choppy Vargas of the popular and legendary comedy duo Porkchop died recently at the age of 63.

He passed away on February 3, 2018 and his son Otan Vargas announced it on social media.

Otan wrote a heartfelt message for his father and narrated how the deceased impacted his life.

“My love forever, my idol, my hero, a legend among Filipinos, a legend in my mind and in my heart. My Father.. I will be with you in Heaven soon.. Rest with God Dad.. thank you for all the love and the lessons, i will take them to my own journey and continue your legacy of making people happy.”

He also announced that the wake of Choppy will be held at the Bethany Seventh Day Adventist Church in Westbury Long Island, New York, based on the article published in kami.com.ph.

Porkchop has provided legendary punch lines in the history of comedy in the Philippines. They were not just famous in the Philippines but they also made a name internationally.

Porky and Choppy were not just comedians but they had entertained their viewers with their songs as well.
