Mia is one of the original members of the all-female dance group which originated in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga. At first, they were just back-up dancers and they were just assisting the hosts and contestants in the show. Later on, Henyo Master Joey de Leon gave them the name Sexbomb Dancers and their popularity soared high.

Aside from their stint in the Kapuso noontime variety show, they also had the chance to star in their own TV series titled Daisy Siete. Indeed, they are one of the most popular dance groups in the Philippines. After several years, the members have ventured into different professions such as Mia Pangyarihan. After her onscreen stints, she focused on putting up her own business.

She now owns a Korean-Japanese restaurant in Quezon City named Yoshi-Meat-Su, based on the article from PUSH. Aside from this, the former Sexbomb dancer also owns a Chinese restaurant in Templo. Mia shared that her love for food contributed a lot in her restaurant business. “Ang hilig ko lang kumain talaga. Nung nagkaroon ako ng business na food, sabi ko, ‘Ay ito pala talaga ang para sa akin,” she said.

She also shared that establishing her own food hub was not a smooth-sailing journey because her previous businesses failed. Nevertheless, those failure did not disheartened her to pursue her restaurant business.

Mia Pangyarihan also shared her advice to those who are planning to have their own business. “Sa lahat ng tao na gustong magtayo ng business, try ng try lang. Kasi kung hindi mo mararamdamang dumapa, hindi ka rin [matututo] kung paano bumangon. So marami-rami na rin naman akong business na bumagsak, and yet hindi naman pwedeng doon na ako matapos, kailangan mag-move forward,” she said.

With her success, Mia said that she feels proud of herself because she proved to many people who discriminated her that she is not just a dancer.
