Why did Richard Gutierrez did not renew his contract with GMA-7?
RICHARD GUTIERREZ – Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez revealed the real reason why he did not renew his contract with his former home network GMA-7.
Richard Gutierrez is one of the Filipino showbiz personalities who have move to another network in 2017. The former Kapuso actor signed a contract with the ABS-CBN network.
When he was still under the GMA-7, he is undeniably one of the sought-after stars. He is given continuous projects and among those that he has worked for are the Mulawin in 2004, the Captain Barbell in 2006 and 2011, and the Kamandag in 2007.
Richard Gutierrez came from one of the most prominent families in show business. He is the twin brother of former television host Raymond Gutierrez and the younger brother beauty queen-actress Ruffa Gutierrez.
However, his fame, talent, and everything that he has don’t exempt him from what ordinary people might also feel – to get burnt out.
Based on a recent report in Pep, in an interview with the source, Richard Gutierrez admitted that there was a time when he got burnt out and he was really the one who walked away.
He expressed that he needed a “time off” to realize things and know himself more. When asked if it is okay with him that he did not renew his contract under the GMA-7 because of what he felt, the former Kapuso actor answered in the affirmative.
Based on the report, when he had his ‘time off’, he lived in Switzerland and in the United States for a while. In 2017, he signed a contract with the Kapamilya network.
Richard is currently one of the casts of the ABS-CBN action-suspense TV series La Luna Sangre which is down to its last week. He is working with young Kapamilya stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.
In the TV series, Richard Gutierrez plays the role of the major antagonist – Sandrino/Supremo. The avid fans and viewers of LSS are eager to watch if Tristan (Daniel) and Malia (Kathryn) will be able to stop him.
