Robin Padilla fired back to criticisms from netizens regarding his recent trip to Philippine Rise
The ‘Bad Boy’ of Philippine cinema, Robin Padilla, shared his recent trip to Philippine Rise on his Instagram account.
He wanted to stressed out in his caption that the said area within the Philippine territory means “food security”.
“Relax muna tayo sa territory dispute tandaan mahirap magutom ang 100 milyon higit na Pilipino,” the actor said in his post.
Despite of the good purpose of being there, some netizens criticized his post. One netizen said that the government should be in Spratlys instead of being in the Philippine Rise, based on a previous article.
On the following IG post of Robin, he explained why the government chose to go to Philippine Rise and not to disputed area of South China Sea or West Philippine Sea.
Robin said that he believes in the statement of President Rodrigo Duterte because for him it is true.
He also said that the Philippines must now spend time for its resources wherein there is no giant country as an enemy. For the actor, the dispute could result to violence that will affect the military resources of the country.
In addition, he said that it will give more sufferings to the poor Filipinos.
The actor also pointed out the advantage of Philippine Rise as a resources compared to the disputed South China Sea or West Philippine Sea.
