Teresa Loyzaga Reveals Advice to Diego Loyzaga When He Suffers from Depression

TERESA LOYZAGA – Actress Teresa Loyzaga spoke about her actor son Diego Loyzaga following the rumors that he went through depression.

One of the showbiz personalities who are currently on a hiatus is actor Diego Loyzaga, the son of actress Teresa Loyzaga with actor Cesar Montano.

Diego was last seen as part of the ABS-CBN television series Los Bastardos. However, his appearance on the said Kapamilya TV series was cut short for a reason that was not revealed to the public.

The character of Diego Loyzaga in the TV series took an exit through death. Since then, the most recent update about the actor is his reason trip to Italy with his mom Teresa Loyzaga.

Speaking to Pep at the FDCP Ambassadors’ Night 2019, Teresa Loyzaga expressed that Diego Loyzaga’s vacation in Italy may be a way for him to appreciate more of his being part of the showbiz industry.

“Hindi ba, sabi nila minsan na, ‘Absence makes the heart grown fonder.’ Maybe it’s a way na pati siya… to appreciate more of what he has, to appreciate more yung pelikula natin,” the actress expressed.

Following the exit of Diego Loyzaga in Los Bastardos, there were rumors that the actor went through depression. Based on the report, he was previously opened about experiencing it.

When asked if she is aware of Diego Loyzaga going through depression before, Teresa Loyzaga expressed that she thinks “everyone has a certain depression in their own individuality”.

According to the actress, it is more on how someone levels on his or her depression. Based on the report, here’s the advice that the actress mother gives to her son whenever he is feeling depressed:

“You know who you are. You are better than that. And look, you have lived so far in your life, you don’t need somebody to tell you who you are, what you can do or what you cannot do,” she said.

Based on the report, being a mother, Teresa Loyzaga is making sure that she is there for both Diego Loyzaga and his brother. She stressed that she always makes herself available for her two son.

With regards to the awaited return of Diego to showbiz, Teresa did not give a definite statement on whether her son will return or not.

“Abangan!” she said.
