The biological mother of controversial personality Chloe San Jose, partner of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, has decided to break her silence after her private life was dragged into the spotlight due to issues involving her daughter and the Yulo family.
Since rumors surfaced that Carlos’s family, particularly his mother Angelica Yulo, did not approve of Chloe, speculations and intrigues have continued. The scrutiny has also extended to Chloe’s family, with netizens questioning who raised her and accusing her of speaking ill of Carlos’s parents.
To address these allegations, Chloe’s biological mother, Maria Fe San Jose, or “Marie,” reached out through her legal counsel, Atty. James Mark Padrones Ciudadano. According to Atty. Ciudadano, his client wants to clear the air and put an end to the false accusations against her and Chloe, especially since her other children, from her current family, have also been dragged into the issue. Based on an article from Balita published today September 7, 2024.
Atty. Ciudadano clarified the circulating rumors. He explained that Marie is not an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) or a laundry worker abroad, as some have claimed, but rather an Australian citizen working in Aged Care Services. He further debunked rumors that Marie had been imprisoned.
“Chloe was born in the Philippines on March 21, 2002, and she left for Australia with my client in 2013. They obtained Australian citizenship in February 2020,” the lawyer explained.
The lawyer also confirmed that Chloe and her mother had experienced a strained relationship for some time due to differences in values and parenting styles. While Marie tried to uphold Filipino values, Chloe reportedly did not appreciate this approach. However, Atty. Ciudadano made it clear that no legal cases had been filed between Chloe and her mother.
“There was indeed a gap between them, but there was no legal case filed,” Atty. Ciudadano said.
Regarding the rumors surrounding Chloe’s relationship with the Yulo family, Marie initially chose to stay silent to protect her own family. However, after false stories began to spread, and images of her children were posted online without consent, Marie felt compelled to speak out.
According to Atty. Ciudadano, Marie has no intention of involving herself in the ongoing controversies but simply wants to set the record straight and restore her family’s peaceful life in Australia.
“My client is not doing this for attention or clout but to set the facts straight,” the lawyer emphasized.
As for those spreading fake news, Atty. Ciudadano warned that they will take legal action to protect his client and her family, using the full force of the law to address any defamatory content or unauthorized use of images.
