These included a white cap embroidered with the word “astig”, a box decorated with his image, and two jars of homemade bagoong—one sweet and one spicy. “It’s an exciting day today,” Padilla said in the video, which was reuploaded by fans on various social media platforms. “Una, ang aking souvenir para sa kanilang dalawa, ang ‘astig’ cap… Meron din akong binalot na [bagoong], dalawang flavor yan.”
Padilla went on to share details of his outfit for the wedding, revealing that he bought his barong in Pandi, Bulacan, paired with a branded undershirt and pants. He also wore a pair of black leather shoes he had purchased in 2016, which he carefully polished for the occasion. His preparations suggested he was ready to attend not just as a father, but as someone who wanted to celebrate his daughter’s milestone meaningfully.
However, the joyful tone shifted days later when Padilla publicly voiced his hurt over not being invited to walk his daughter down the aisle. But even amid emotional turmoil, he expressed an earnest wish to become a grandfather. “Baka naman bigyan niyo ako ng apo bago ako mawala,” Padilla reportedly said in one interview, addressing Claudia and Basti with a mix of longing and affection.
Claudia Barretto, a singer and social media personality, has been known to maintain a relatively low profile despite her family’s fame. A Psychology graduate from Ateneo de Manila University, she has chosen to pursue a path rooted in music and advocacy, quietly making her mark outside of showbiz drama.
