In a unique glimmer of hope, “Drag Den” director Rod Singh has launched ways to contribute to Pura Luka Vega, and they announced that they had raised over P500,000 in donations by Friday afternoon.
Pura Luka Vega achieved her bail goal on Friday, October 6, but she will remain in police custody as the court has already closed the process for her release.
Rod Singh shared his joy over the successful release of donations from their supporters. “This is a significant victory for our community, and it shows how deep our love and support for Pura Luka is,” Singh said.
However, despite Pura Luka Vega meeting her bail, there are still significant hurdles to overcome. According to Naia, their lawyer, “Pura Luka Vega will remain in police custody. Bail approval only happened this afternoon after a clear hearing, but unfortunately, the court is now closed for the submission of necessary documents for her release.”
This illustrates a challenging sequence of events for Pura Luka Vega, but the efforts of friends, supporters, and the “Drag Den” community continue to help her in any way they can.
For now, supporters are hoping for the swift completion of the necessary steps for Pura Luka Vega’s release. Additionally, they expect that the accumulated donations will assist Pura Luka’s family in meeting their needs both inside and outside the court.
