Duterte’s Kitchen is now open to serve free food to the poor in Cubao.
Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) launched Duterte’s Kitchen in Cubao, Quezon City that serve free food for street kids.
In an effort to help the poorest communites in the country, PDP-Laban opens food kitchen for the poor in Cubao.
PDP-Laban national executive Director Glen Badon shared that Duterte’s Kitchen is the brainchild of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
In a recent news report of ABS-CBN news, Duterte’s Kitchen was launched last October 10, 2016. The kitchen is located in a building along EDSA, just across Farmers Plaza that aim to aid the poorest people in the country.
According to the Project head Dexter Araquel, the concept was in accordance with President Rodrigo Duterte’s advocacy to feed the poor.
“Nagsimula ito sa project ni Mayor Digong noong nasa Davao pa siya,” he said.”
Alvarez shared that the PDP-Laban adopted the concept of the President when he was still the Mayor of Davao City. Wherein there was an eatery serving free rice porridge for those who has no money to buy food.
Reports said, Duterte’s kitchen was offers food for the three major meals of the day – breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It aims to feed 50 to 70 people, young and old, everyday and plans to expand to other locations.
