Eat Bulaga will have a franchise in Myanmar soon
Longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga will soon have its franchise in Myanmar as part of its 40th-anniversary celebration.
For four decades, the variety show which featured the popular trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, has been reigning during noontime viewing. As part of their celebration, the show announced that it will soon a franchise in Myanmar.
It can be recalled that EB Dabarkads had its extension in Indonesia in July 2012. The said show lasted until August of 2016. Now, the Kapuso variety show is set to make an extension to another country in Asia.

Based on the article from Philippine Entertainment Portal, Platform Media and Management Broadcasting Company founder Captain Aung Po visited the show on its July 30 episode which is the exact day of its 40th anniversary. The media executive shared that people in Myanmar are used to watch agricultural and news programs on TV. That is the reason why they are excited to watch something new like Eat Bulaga.
Aung Po, who is a pilot, also said that there was a Filipino who shared to him that the noontime show is the heart of the Philippines. “Eat Bulaga! is not a normal show like we thought,” he said. He also shared that he thought of backing out after realizing how huge the noontime show is.

Meanwhile, TAPE Inc. executive Malou Choa-Fagar said that there is no exact timeline yet when the Myanmar franchise of Eat Bulaga will commence. However, the staff from Myanmar already started to train in the studio of the longest-running noontime show.
